How do I transfer shares to another Finnish bank?
1. How can I transfer my entire securities account to a Finnish bank?
If you wish to transfer your entire securities account from Evli Bank to another Finnish bank, simply contact your new service provider. They will handle the transfer on your behalf. Good news: neither Evli nor the receiving bank will charge you any service fees for transferring the entire account.
2. What if I want to transfer only part of my shares to another Finnish bank?
If you want to move only part of your shares to another bank, you’ll need to:
- Fill in the share transfer mandate form (provided by Evli).
- Sign the form by hand.
- Provide a copy of your passport.

How do I transfer shares from Evli Bank to a foreign bank?
If you wish to transfer shares from your Evli Bank account to a bank outside Finland, please contact Evli’s helpdesk directly. The prevailing price list will apply for these transfers.
Will my acquisition prices be transferred automatically to the new bank?
Important: Acquisition prices for your shares will not be transferred automatically. Please inform your new bank of these details separately. For guidance, refer to our article on how to find your acquisition prices.
Are there any special rules for employer share plans or incentive client accounts?
- Employer Share Plans: If you participate in an employer share plan, some plans may require you to keep your shares at Evli Bank for a specified period to receive matching shares. Check your plan’s terms before transferring shares.
- Incentive Client Accounts: Only shares from your employer’s share plans can be transferred to your incentive client account at Evli Bank.
